ClickBox Octa 42 (Bowens)

Setup is genuinely tool-free—I just fold it out and push the center until it clicks. The push-button release collapses it faster than any softbox I've used before, and the light quality from the 42-inch octagonal shape is beautifully even for portraits.

The click-in frame really does snap together in seconds, which makes setup at a shoot so much faster than wrestling with rods. It creates beautifully soft, flattering light for portraits.

Setup took me maybe twenty seconds from bag to ready, and that push-button release is a lifesaver when you're packing up in a hurry. The octagonal shape gives a really natural catchlight in the eyes, and the Bowens mount locked onto my flash without any wobble.
