Honestly wasn't sure how much difference a grid would make on my edge light, but the interlocking pieces fit together so snugly and the extra depth really tamed the spill onto the background. It's clearly hand-assembled with care, and for the price it's a steal.

Works perfectly as a rim light modifier for portraits, and the interlocking assembly feels secure once it's all clicked into place. My only small gripe is that the grid takes a bit of patience to fit perfectly into the softbox, but the light control is definitely worth the extra minute.
